    F cutting palm trees

I'm just venting here because it was fail.

Bought a chainsaw w/ a pole arm extension thinking that I'd cut the tall ass palm trees at my house, and save myself some money, plus have the chainsaw incase I needed anything.

    wtf was I thinking?!!

House has 9 palm trees with apprx 20+ leaves that had to be cut per tree.

Let me show you what a palm tree leaf looks like:

Serrated edges like a razor sharp saw, and heavy, I'd say atleast 5-6lbs a branch + the huge ass leaves. When you're cutting them, they come down in every direction trying to stab you.

Fortunately...I avoided every one of them........until today.

With a total of 9 bigass palm trees, I cut about 7, where 2 were still left to be trimmed. I couldn't reach em so I had to get on a ladder. Mind you, leaves are very sharp. One landed straight on my head and since I was on a ladder with a chainsaw, no way to avoid it. I ran inside and instantly applied pressure to stop the blood fountain.

I don't think it was as bad as it looks, but I'll go to the doc and get it checked out.

Moral: Pay however much they want to cut the damn trees as trying to save money will get your ass killed.

    FML.

afterthoughts: industrial helmet would've been a good idea.
