    OK let me explain something..

Just because you have the MT ET compound doesnt mean you automatically are going to get godlike traction. Will you get better traction? YES YOU WILL but you will get LESS traction as compared to a taller SIDEWALL.

As you decrease sidewall height you greatly reduce contact patch area with the pavement upon launch.

The MT ET streets I have on my mustang are 28" tall tires in a 15" rim, so I have about 5 inches of sidewall that will flex into almost double the contact patch area when tires are at 15 psi during a hard launch. The thinner the wall, the more you give up on traction. A 19 inch rim with a 21 inch tall tire only has 1 inch of sidewall, that hurts!

Compound alone is not the answer, if you want good compound, RE-11s are great too and they handle better than MTs around corners.

    Just my opinion.

But for ppl that rarely drive there cars and have a dedicated track setup this is a pretty good option. This setup on a set of LM's TE37's etc would look amazing.

This is all very true but keep in mind there are basically no 19 inch drag radial options other than Nitto. Now there is another, this is good.

For the hard core drag racers, who run dedicated setups, this a a stupid tire. However, for a person that owns a second, weekend toy, this is a great solution. I can literally do 40mph rolling smoky burnouts, on summer tires, with my bling wheels. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to run a large aftermarket wheel and these tires out back. Oh the joy of being able to hook at stop lights.

But yes, for me at the track, a 16" wheel with tall side wall/drag radial is the best weapon. I still don't even have that. I have an 18" Mickey and it hooks like a mofo, on a well prepped track.

If your looking for traction on a 19" rim this will help obviously it's not an ideal drag tire but it will improve traction over any other tire in it size
