Unhappy E60 535i turbos are the exact same as the 335

Turbos are the same. Shared part for 3 and 5 series. Confirmed at BMW with 2 N54 techs today while we were looking at a n55 that was hydrolocked.

Yes there is a difference between RHD and LHD 335I turbos. RHD units are more scarce, so ideally they'd share with the LHD 335I.

Wouldn't it be logical for the LHD models to share the same turbos?

It would. But LHD 135I doesn't share the same with LHD 335I either. Definitely don't want to use only logic, send to a customer, then they say they don't bolt up the same mid install.

Let's see what happens when I do @DarkPhantom
edit: nothing since I'm viewing the thread Click here to enlarge

I read on the forum someone was saying the turbo housing is different on the 5 series than the 3 series, is that the case for the N55 or the N54?

If the turbos are the same, does that mean the manifold and housing is the same as well?
