Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson tested the new Jaguar XKR-S and had the new improved Nissan GT-R as a comparison
The outcome is somewhat surprising (or is it?)

A drag race in the wet with an AWD car vs. a RWD car? I hate when they do stupid crap like that. Wow, what a surprise on the outcome.

Oh, and the AWD car laps faster in the wet too? No way.

Britain should be banned from reviewing cars unless it is dry out.

It didn't appear to be wet when the GTR was on the hot lap. If they run an almost two minute difference on the ring I'd venture to say the GTR is faster wet or dry.

It definitely is, but regardless any comparison if it is slightly wet or very wet should be thrown out. That is why the Top Gear track is useless as is this comparison.

Mmm, it's Top Gear. Don't get your hopes up too high for a real comparison. The show is not really about that. That said, JC has some valid points about both cars.
And the hot laps were made on a dry track, so that is a valid test.
They probably would love to have their testtrack somewhere in the south of California, but as it is it is in wet England. And for good reason. Try having all those tests on a Californian runway...

Britain sucks for testing cars, period. I say all automotive testing on the island should be banned. Actually, cars should be banned in England period. They should all use horses. So there.

Sorena, you crack me up sometimes.

If Hitler tried to ban cars from Britain instead of groups of people from the planet the world may have been a better place.
