You are the first to do nitrous with the supercharger, congrats! That is absolutely awesome!

You are running a wet shot I would guess? How large?

The 60-130 appears to be 7 flat, is that correct?

I'm using a 52 nitrous jet which is about 100hp. It's doing more than that though, because of the cooling affect.

Excellent info, how do you like the nitrous?

Any plans on getting it dyno'd?

I will add your entry to the 60-130 list momentarily, congratulations!

Waiting on the dyno shop to email me the SAE files this morning. He saved them on my flash drive as STD. For some reason most of the 135/335 owners like using STD.

OK here we go... Couple of snapshots from the dyno day at TopSpeed, a short video of the two runs, and two dyno charts. This was a basic dyno day for only $30 per vehicle, so I just have the base numbers to share. Dyno was done in 4th gear on 93 octane.

Backing on the rollers. It was an AWD Dynojet.

I missed the dynographs earlier for some reason. Just wanted to thank you for putting them up.

The nitrous makes a huge difference and the car seems to respond really well to the 100 shot. Are you running the nitrous until redline as the torque seems to drop off more with it vs. the the SC alone?

Yes, but I shut it down at 8000 rpm (being safe not to hit the rev limiter). It probably would of made another 10-15hp.

Torque is instant when the nitrous comes in and then slowly decreases. As rpms increase the nitrous has less time to enter the cylinder. Boost on the other hand does not have that problem since it creates more and more boost as the rpms rise.

I haven't heard this before regarding nitrous having less time to enter the cylinder at higher RPM's. Is this true for any nitrous setup?

The reason is that nitrous flow remains constant no matter what rpm the engine is running at. At lower speeds there is more time for the nitrous to fill the cylinders, so you get more nitrous in the cylinders per power stroke at lower rpm. This will boost torque and consequently power more at low rpm. As rpm increases, you will get less nitrous per power stroke, but the engine will start making more normally aspirated power. This really flattens out the torque curve and widens the power band.

Makes complete sense Click here to enlarge

If you were to build a 550 hp 350 Chevy, it would have to rev to 7000+ rpm to make that kind of power and only make power in a narrow rpm range. A nitrous injected 350 Chevy making 550 hp would make that power at a much lower rpm and higher average horsepower. So the nitrous engine will out perform the normally aspirated engine by a healthy margin. The reason is that nitrous flow remains constant no matter what rpm the engine is at. At lower speeds there is more time for the nitrous to fill the cylinders, so you get more nitrous in the cylinders per power stroke at lower rpm. This will boost power more at low rpm (before the engine is in it's power band). As rpm increases, and gets in the power band of the engine, you will get less nitrous per power stroke, but the engine will start making more normally aspirated power. This really flattens out the torque curve and widens the power band.
