True, proCede write's their own software though. I speak to Haltech daily about DI control, which they are working on for the BMW's, and they know quite a bit about Vishnu and Adrian. Haltech basically have their own software that differs from what you get on the ProCede. You can load their rom on the procede to have full standalone control. This is easy to do actually. Someone who has the procede go below and have fun.

    Yes.
Shiv tuned "complete control" down a bit so users don't blow up engines. You can still pick values, etc, but the ProCede will always have upper level control to ensure that a motor doesn't go Boom.

Nice to see a custom tune won't be far off for many DI bmw's. And I'm going to a haltech seminar next week so I better get my questions ready.

Yes, they are close. Albeit still a number of months away, but at least they are working on a DI solution actively.

Very interesting. I know a local person (trevor) will also be getting RB's soon and use the JB4. If he has great results with a JB4 custom map, I wonder if it will be easy for me to translate his custome JB4 settings into my procede map now?

I will most likely just use the base maps until I get comfortable and hear feedback on what custom settings are working well for other people.

I'm sure the rev limiter could be extended but it seems there is currently no point in doing so with the torque curve. Plus higher revs are tougher on direct injection and this system seems to be fragile as is.

RX7's are tough because previous owners rarely maintained them correctly.

S2k is cool but begs for a turbo as if you want to talk about motors with no torque, that would be it.

It looks like they deleted a CAN transceiver and added a FTDI (USB) chip, a bypass relay, and 4 more digital I/O drivers. Dzenno mentioned he's been running a WOTBOX recently so I checked the wiring, and it looks like it just intercepts the single power wire going to the coils and cuts out power to them in some pattern. Surprised it doesn't throw a misfire code but seems easy enough. But the coil circuit diagram shows it as a 30 amp circuit. The PROcede contacts are only rated for 1/10th of that IIRC. So perhaps there is some additional external circuit or box. The additional I/O is probably to put back their speed limit defeat/VSS I/O and run an external fuel injector box.
