reading through this and the older thread, I'm curious if the JB is limited to the stock AFR curve... constant difference from stock. And when does the richer curve start... certain/on boost, WOT? My experience is that the procede is not limited to the stock curve and will flatline fairly early in the rpm around 12 to 12.5... with the older hardware.

its all in the tuning and customizable stuff..up to stock hardware limitations.. thats what the thread was about. BMS saying they had options for guys who needed more fueling via more pressure-ie resistors. and the Shiver claiming it wasnt needed on his board because he is so much smarter than everyone else... which has now been shown to be another lie Click here to enlarge

Not sure where you got that impression? Fueling is mapped via several parameters and then on top of that we allow user scaling by RPM. You won't be targeting 12-12.5:1 down low with 4.7k fueling resistors. If your software reports that it's a dead give away that it's false. If you look at procede dyno runs showing external air/fuel it's typically 13.5:1 down low 12:1 up top. Consistent with about as much fuel as the 4.7k resistors will allow.

gotcha on the JB part... so basically you are not limited by a constant resistance, but a range to a max difference from the stock target. Most of my logs start around 4,000rpm and they are 12.5 or lower from this point. I was just curious.

When does the richer bias start... certain boost target?

Fuel enrichment can be logged independently from AFR and is primarily mapped on boost and RPM, with modifiers for IAT, gear, and a couple other factors. Generally the richest parts of the mapping are 12psi or greater and 4000rpm or higher. Where the DME switches over to single injection mode and gets the most direct benefit from the extra fueling.

couldn't edit. Nevermind, I got it... I'm electrically challenged... you alter the current over the resistor to change the bias voltage to the wideband.

Right, that's how you change the AFR targets. Then the DME uses a learned PID system to alter IPW to hit them.

I had a code thrown in my car that basically put the car in max cool mode and my temps came down quick it was really amazing. Oil temp went from like 240-250 to 210. I was running a older procede map after i updated it went away. Seems like the new maps have solved everyones problems.
