Told you guys they'd copy us sooner or later... ;)

It was only a matter of time before they adopted our fueling circuitry. I made the prediction almost a year ago... Click here to enlarge

Those 4.7k fueling resistors you selected limit how rich you can set the air/fuel ratio target. To produce the nice rich air/fuel curve the flash tuners provide you need at least 1k resistors. 13.5:1 in the midrange is fine for 16psi but too lean for those pushing the boundaries of the platform IMHO. So rather than flailing around the issue why don't you just make the change? It's not like 1k resistors cost more than 4.7k resistors?

So you will have to identify what Procede hardware revision you have by following this guideline:

-If you received your new Procede unit after May 24th, 2011, you have the new updated Rev.2b.
-If you received your new Procede since before that date (as the vast majority of you have), you have the original Rev.2a. Obviously, this applies to all people who have purchased used Procedes as well.
More of that old debate: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...ir-Fuel-Ratios

I wonder if they also copied our Tyco alternative relay on their revised board?

Only someone who knew little about the technical details of both would suggest their architecture is similar. The JB4 is very different and for good reason. Click here to enlarge

Gotta say, nice post. Looks like Shiv will step up to help those of us targeting >=500 whp and bigger turbos next week. Will reserve my judgement on how he handles it until then. I'm expecting he will handle it properly.

But on your argument/debate and supporting material, it seems like a good gotcha moment.

Don't use one situation where shiv copied you to forget that you have copied many of his(or whom ever) ideas. I don't give a $#@! whose ideas they are honestly, I don't even have a 335 anymore. Point is, yes he copied you. yes shiv is a liar and makes some outrageous posts. But one situation like this... Honestly, many respectable tuners would have just said nothing and let their 'tune' do the talking. There is no reason to bring this up considering how many 'features' you have copied from them.

A lot of ideas do go back and forth. It's always been that way. It's just rare you find such a great example of an about face. Besides, this forum could use the discussion traffic I think. Click here to enlarge

Who copied who is irrelevant to the topic although people can debate that.

There really isn't much to say. Blatant case of Shiv doing an about face. It may surprise some of his fans, but he is fallible and will change positions whenever it serves his purpose. Just hard to put too much stock in a definitive statement of his (like his first in the OP) when he will make it to try to discredit a competitor even knowing he is wrong.

It does work somewhat both ways but this is one where Terry was right and Shiv was wrong.

    That is just freaking golden!

LOL, and remember how pissed that guy got because I showed his video of the Procede misfiring and he was scared of Shiv cutting off support? Now he switches to a JB4? Just too good, too good.

Its pretty comical what goes on over there on that forum.

I think a lot more people are starting to realize that the JB4 is better than the v5 over there though believe it or not. This tuner/professional v5 BS needs to stop. Vin locking? wtf!

Shows lack of basic tuning understanding. It is worrying when a tuner feels strongly being right while being wrong.
