Fluid MotorUnion E9X M3 S65 V8 velocity stack intake system with water-methanol injection completed - Work of art

This is certainly one way to add some serious eye candy to the M3 engine bay. What you see here are velocity stacks on top of each individual throttle body for the M3 S65 V8. The rails in the middle hold the arms which feed a methanol system that you see setup to inject into each stack. The velocity stacks are made from 6061-grade aluminum. The kit will be available with and without meth injection. Pricing and dyno proven performance gains are on the way but in the mean time just appreciate a beautiful and unique approach to modifying the S65 V8.

We will have to wait and see but you will need a tune to go along with this to see them.

Aren't they the ones who use to have carbon fiber stacks on that car?

Price for this overly artsty looking mod? I wonder how much money they could have saved just making it functional instead of futuristic, remove the BMW tax plz

When the hood is closed it just draw airs directly from surrounding areas in the engine bay? Maybe they are doing something with the hood?

Looks cool. The methanol injection "arms" certainly are different from anything I've ever seen in a car.

It's a pretty setup, I'm sure some people will buy it. Imo the $/hp ratio would have to be really good in order for me to buy it.

Looks like they would want to at least throw in some Nitrous Oxide or something with this.

Have people been seeing good gains NA with just meth/water injection? Seems like it would be useful for someone shooting for a NA power/drag time record.

Direct injection > water/meth injection, especially on an NA car.

You have to realize they like doing stuff like this even if it makes worse power. Its unfiltered air (lol on a brand new M3?!) on a seriously advanced ECU that they won't be tweaking to add timing to. I can't foresee how they will yield anything from this. Yet, their #1 fan SpasticDwarf quoted in his S54 E36 video "60 rwhp gains" for their velocity stacks which STILL has yet to be proven.

    Its pretty. That's about it.

Even if the price was high and the HP for the dollar was not that good I would buy it. The M3 in NA form runs out of mods fast. If you want to keep it naturally aspirated this is awesome.

What do you mean they won't be tweaking it? They said they will be tuning for these specifically.

I would hope they filter the velocity stacks.

Tuning it with what? They've cracked a brand new ECU? Cmon.

I doubt they will filter it - the only way tha twould work is making some huge airbox thing that will go over all of it and seal it up. None of the velocity stacks have a lip to put a filter around individually and with those claws coming across you'd have to poke holes anyway

They might have a tuner or source someone, who knows. I'm just telling you what they said.

There are several filtering options for velocity stacks. I e-mailed to find out if they are filtering or not so we should know soon. Leaving it unfiltered just doesn't seem wise to me.
