I think what presidents can do is severely limited in this country by the partisan politics on both sides. Each parties agenda is to ensure the other party doesn't pass any significant legislation or make progress because it will make the other party look bad. Same with the presidents, republicans agenda now is to ensure it's as difficult as possible for Obama to do anything and it would be the same if the parties were reversed. As for party affiliation I have to believe their are many people like me who feel I have no party. I am fiscally conservative but socially liberal(as in I don't give a $#@! what anybody does with their life. Wanna marry the same sex? I don't care. Wanna have an abortion? I don't care. So on and so forth) mostly I find myself supporting democrats cause I hate the Christian right trying to impose their myth on me. Obama hasn't done much, the economy was $#@! when he got it and it's getting better now but he wants to tax me even more. Because congress hasn't renewed the APTA I will pay a lot more in business taxes than I did last year, money that could have gone to growing my business and adding employees will go to supporting more unemployed lazy people. End rant!

His father as a British subject at the time as Kenya was a colony, right? So, umm, it appears clear cut on the surface.

You should have taken out Bin Laden, what is it you do? You know what kind of coverage we would get if you put a BB sticker on him?

lol, Ive never been to Afghan, not that that matters as we found out! LOL. but ive replayed the scenario many many times in my head to be the guy watching a town or house and randomly spot 6'+ dude walkin somewhere with a few dudes, greet the owner.... i call it in with a positive ID and i do NOT get the go ahead to shoot. within minutes i hear the Helo's in the air, and i debate with myself whether or not to take the shot before ninja's come in...I tell myself even if i miss ninjas are too close for him to get away, and if i tag him, i get courtmartialed, but probably dont suffer any real consequences since im sure public support would be immense, and then I sell my book on how it all went down.. then the movie ect...

....and thats when i snap back to reality and in reality, im the spotter, not the shooter, in which case i would still tell him to take the shot as its my ass and not his..

seriouslyy, ive had that daydream more than you would like to think..

Have you ever read the book Shooter? I acknowledge that you have probably lived it, just curious. I like the term "smoke checked."

never read it, i have only been B4 qualified for a few months, and in the section for just over a year, never did it overseas either, my specialty was always direct action.

it sounds familiar though, can you use it in a sentence?
