Interior photos of the new F10 M5 - underwhelming?

A Chinese autoblog has posted pictures of the interior of the M5 concept. Nothing ground breaking here, looks pretty much like a standard F10. Differences being the M style tach, M stitching on the steering wheel, and alcantara on the door with some exposed stitching. The cloth doors don't look all that luxurious. Compare this to the recently revealed 2012 E63 AMG and see what you like better.

BMW & M Division have never really set the bar with the interiors. I prefer the body design of the M5 over the E63, but the interior of the E63.

The M interior, as always, is function over form.

E63 wins here by a long shot, and let me explain: when you look at the interior it is easy to distinguish between it and the normal E, as well as the knobs that are now added for the driver to select options etc and the cenre gear shift. The BMW goes less is more, but less is not always really more. I think it's more focused on luxury than sportiness

Not as nice as the E63 AMG, but still good looking IMO. Nothing crazy....

The look of the interior is about par for the course for BMW. Nothing overly drastic. Just small details to know you are in something a little different. The E63 looks like a special place to work!

I think this sorta re-emphasizes the focus on performance vs. looks. I do agree however there should be more than just the tid-bits to distinguish it, but hey, it will still be a TT V8 Click here to enlarge

Too bad the rev limiter is not as high as the last gen M5. Backwards $#@! if you ask me. They should have put a s85 bi-turbo then Click here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlargeeverywhere......

Kinda boring, but I guess that is expected. Still not a big fan of the F10 design. I am becoming a Benz fan more and more everyday.

Using the same motor lowers costs, what it is all about now.

In the pics the M5 interior looks nicer than the E63 AMG. But I'll have to go see it IRL when it's available then my opinion may change.

C63 is a way different feel from a BMW.

Driving. Just a different character from M3 or 3-series.
