Very interesting thread.
I do accept what you and the other guys have stated, I just really wanted to know if the car would drive any better.
Thanks! Sorry I'm in no position to give advice as...
Well as usual, nothing ever goes to plan. Mid March has passed, my car is still at BMW and now my tuner tells me he's busy until September, great.
Anyway here are some pics. Sorry about the crap...
Got another rear bumper to go on, with pulled arches, Varis diffuser, vented, and Varis 2 part underfloor.
Will post more pics as the car develops.
Just a quick update, progress so far.
Need to purchase oem CF bumper carrier to accept Varis front bumper.
Not the greatest fitting boot. Currently trying to...
Hi Chris, yeah sure.
Really happy today because BMW picked up my car for the body mods. Should be back with me in a month.
I've already chatted with my Tuner and he assures me work will start...
Hi Chris, so I'll be able to get my vehicle set up correctly with the above mods and to be able to take advantage of its other specs.
It will also mean I can get rid of my Stack AFR and Boost...
@ THATDONFC, that's a lovely kit. To be honest I was begining to think that I should just see if I could get away with my current air to air. Going to have to do some thinking now. Also got to...
Forgot about this system as the other forum I'm on disabled it because it was abused. I think you had to give a reason for neg. repping, can't remember if username was also attached. Usefull if...
For my curiosity I have sent Okada an e-mail enquiring on how much mJ they produce.
I also can't really ignore peoples experience with them. Shame there's no back to back tests results.
Was looking for higher output coils for better combustion with the inclusion of water/meth.
I can imagine the oem one are great. Don't suppose you know their output?
Okadas, everyone I chatted to, who have them, say they're excellent. Anyone know their output?
A for the ProEFi/Saad,...
Thanks Angie and Commanderwiggin for confirming and letting me know how it's done.
Does anyone know if there is an air to liquid cooler kit available for the S54?
Also was thinking about coils. ...
I bet that drove nice! :)
So out of the suggested chargers, V-1 T charger will give me highest power with my prospective mods?
Never considered a liquid cooler before. What are my options?
...hmmm. With YSi I would have to change piping, which isn't a problem but all pipes associated with the charger system, as well as the intake manifold, have been ceramic coated.
600whp sounds good.
I have found out ProEFI supports vanos. So is the Saad stage 1 fuel system and ProEFI a worthy mod to my build or overkill?
Agree, shoot for power.
So what combination would yield the highest bhp?
Please forgive my naivety, I thought boost was determined on pulley size.
OK, it would appear that there are many variables so here are my plans in full. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....
pump gas, 98.
Is there something I missed or should think about?
...thanks Sticky for your input as this is all new to me.
Yep will be pretty much maxing it.
So in short no need to sleeve, L19 all round and should be safe/reliable @ 18 psi without meth/water?...
Need some advice with regards to a prospective engine build.
I have a 01 S54 with ESS VT2 500 and want to run 18 psi, without meth.
With regards to the engine, would low cp, rods and...

Sure, but I would spend the money on loom and ecu, if you have an early M.

No, these are higher lift cams, very aggressive for road car.
I know what you mean about some of the guys like to extract as much as possible, I'm one of them!

Loved the the cams when they came on song, but the cost of them versus the the gain is pointless, unless tracking. Could you honestly say that you could feel the extra 10 horses plus you also...

Cool, just thinking out loud from experience as my car was running oem CSL airbox, Schrick 280/288 cams and Supersprint full straight system with the stepped manifolds, de-cat and Milltek rear box.
