Only if you use advertised price versus power as your only metric in determining a kit's value :)

It's shaky, but it shows boost build. Here's a 3rd gear pull with the stock 3.62 rear end from 2800 rpm to 8000 rpm. This was in the middle of last summer in south Mississippi, so OAT was probably...

The point of the kit is that it's reliabliable (no big issues so far), well-sorted, proven, and serviceable in Europe (edit: I just saw you're in the...

I've got nothing but outstanding things to say about my G-Power Z4M (S54). The kit has been flawless over the past 7k miles, and it generates max boost well before most other centrifugal kits. In the...
You're right about the torque; however, the ESS kit is a twin screw. Regardless, if he can go AA, I'd recommend it over VF.
Some companies limit their boost to 7 psi on automatic transmissions. A VF Engineering kit @ 6 psi sounds like it would be a good fit. If you want more, ESS has a 7 psi twin screw kit which makes...

Update: Ordered the Rigol DS1102E :)
I'll do some tests when I get back next month.

I think you're right about there not being analog outputs. I did a little research and it looks like all I can do is create a low pass filter with a PWM signal... and that wouldn't work since I...

Again, outstanding information! I'll check the link. I would rep you if I could.
I'll have to brush up on my microcontrollers, but I was under the impression that I would have an analog output,...

I agree it's far from groundbreaking.
However, I haven't found anyone that has had success with an O2 sim on the Z4M, but I have found a few that couldn't make one work. I'll add a few bits of...

This answers #5, 6, 8, and 9.

Correct, and both of my cars will be supercharged, so stock software isn't feasible even if I put back in the stock exhaust.

Since the primary cats are located in the headers, you would have to swap back in your stock headers and buy new gaskets. For those like me that will be running Supersprint V1 stepped headers, this...

Thanks again for the info. I want to proceed with building a microcontroller that will output a signal similar to the 555 timer, because I think it will be easier to troubleshoot and is much more...

Thank you very much!! I will check out the link. Much appreciated!

I’m interested in programming a microcontroller to simulate the secondary O2 sensors.
Background: A lot of Z4/Z4M guys want to run aftermarket headers, but a tune to turn off the SES light causes...
Thanks! I'm learning more than anything... big ears, little mouth I guess...
I agree with you, but I still think they have something to lose if the car goes boom with their hardware.
Good points, and I agree to an extent. I think ESS has a serious interest in ensuring their kit isn’t attached to an engine that fails, even if it’s due to modified tuning. Third party tuning puts...
