ezec63 replied to the thread Article: Stock C6 Z06 versus stock F10 M5 highway roll on races - M5 wins? WTF?.
" Yup it was a newer 2012+ C63 with the new MCT transmission which has proven itself stock(P31) to beat a pre 2012 c63 with the old auto and that pre 12 car had a tune/intake/and secondary cat delete. So dont discount the c 63 because it has showed what it can do head to head with these cars. Also the 2012+ c63 with P31 package is rated at 481 crank but dynos have showed it to be under rated its basically tuned from the factory.

I raced a random z06 a few times from a down low roll and was putting lengths on this guy right of the bat and kept pulling (my car isnt stock ~480whp on a dynojet) but than when one of my boys set me up with a race against a guy with a z06 and the dude flat out knew how to drive his car and was walking me pretty good from a bunch of different speed rolls. High HP manual cars are very dependent on the driver "

^ I agree a c63 with a tune and filters/ Do it yourself airbox mod is a beast ! Im a bit biased and my car is further modded now but i would have been happy with the car with just a tune and filters .. Big displacement gives it good torque close to a fbo 335 but after 5K rpm when the n54 starts falling on its face the m156 rips all the way to its 7300 rpm redline and never drops horsepower check the dynos out (tuned because un tuned benz closes the throttle bodies up top so its not faster than more expensive heavier amg's) It a uptop highway monster and unlike the N/A m3 still gives a fat smack of low/mid torque with its top end pull. Handling is pretty good as well the coupe i have has the new 2012 suspension setup which is better than pre 12's but i have driven a pre 12 and its still on point. Interior is pretty good and not to sound cliché but at the end of the day its a mercedes and will give you that "luxury" feeling back that your missing. might be worth the extra 4-5 K just something to think about
