No, this isn't a joke. Really. Automotive News reports that BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer shared this statistic during a call with analysts last week. It is unclear where this information came from within BMW, but it still comes as a staggering surprise that 80 (eighty!) percent of 1 Series owners believe that they are living with front-wheel drive.

These dynos were done in the same place. Conditions were very similar, favoring Drew slightly:

Both cars were on 91 octane + meth. Both cars are running the Gintani Stage 2 supercharger with meth. Both cars ran the same boost, 7.5 psi.

Now, this is posted to show that there is a significant difference created by the exhaust system and the same dyno certainly can provide much different results. I do not understand why people were critcizing Drew about his numbers or what they were even implying. Yes, Niterider (Brian) put down 505 on a DIFFERENT dyno, not this dyno, on a different day in different conditions.

Drew's run and my own are much more compareable as they are on the same dyno. People were saying, "why Did Drew only put down xxx blah blah blah" and going on some ridiculous witch hunt. The numbers are what they are, you can see the difference for yourself.

The headers and 3 inch exhaust themselves made a larger difference than we realized. Boost dropped 2 PSI due to the ...

Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system for BMW M3 (E90, E92, E93)

The Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System for BMW M3 consists of flow optimized link pipes with 2 x 100 cpsi sports catalysts and integrated resonators as well as a completely newly developed and now split-end mufflers. This exhaust system, made fully from titanium, reduces the overall weight when compared to the stock system by about 23 kg. From approximately 2500 rpm on, the power increase is about 24 HP. The torque is nearly constant at 35 Nm over the stock. That is the real joy of driving: high speed engine benefits in daily practice due to the torque increase. It improves the agility in the lower rpm-range noticeably. Also, the engine is stronger in the higher rpm-range and the elasticity is improved considerably.

The improvement of acoustics played an important role in the development. The Akrapovič exhaust system amplifies and rectifies the beautiful sound of the 8-cylinder motor, without appearing invasive or having disadvantages in the daily use.

In a impressive performance from start to finish BMW’s M3 GT cars finished 2nd and 3rd respectively at the 12 Hours of Sebring. After a rocky start both M3’s not only ran flawlessly throughout what is arguably the toughest 12 hours in racing but moved through the field to beat both the Corvettes and the Porsches. Only a lowly Ferrari and an unlucky position in relation to a late yellow managed to get in their way from a perfect weekend. You can see videos from the entire team below. ...

      Did this last night.

Running MS109 fuel, I started off with a modified Stg 1 map which made ~375whp on our 6MT test car. I did not start off with the usual Stg 3+ map that makes considerably more power. The idea behind running nitrous, as I see it, was to not have to squeeze out max power from the turbos. So the results below are no means a max power tune. The only thing the runs share in common is realative boost pressure (peak 12-13psi).

Throughout the course of the night, tested different jet sizes (starting with .18 and ending with .32 with many sizes along the way) and progressive control strategies. This involves different solenoid frequency/duration during nitrous onset to smoothen the transition when nitrous engages. As well as how and when (with respect to RPM), the nitrous disables. You can see the progress below:

For the time being, I'm kept the activation RPM to 4000rpm. But this can be lowered a bit to 3000rpm ...

MSpired's M3 came to us a couple weeks ago. He asked us to install our stage 2.5 turbo kit on his M3 and utilize his existing motor from his prior VF stage 3 build. When we (John and ChrisK) disassembled the motor we found that the piston to wall clearance was too high and this was most likely the cause to his excessive oil burning problems. As a result, Mike had to source and ship us a new "used" block, which will be arriving here shortly for us to build.

*disclaimer: this is an honest review. I paid for all parts and install cost. I am a customer just like you.*

Howdy gang, wanted to post my review on the Horsepower Freaks (HPF) FMIC here so it is easier to find for those of you with questions.

The size difference is substantial in this FMIC. The install is very straight forward. NO cutting of the bumper, so minor trimming required of the plastic stays which sit infront of the OEM IC. The C couplers where a perfect fit and after completing the install it was SOLID.
I will have some updated dynos within a week or so to post which will compare my stock car to the one with the FMIC (with my exhaust upgrade too) Dynos prob will not do justice on this piece, but should give you an idea of the benefits.
