      Prodigymb took his friends ESS supercharged M3 to the drag strip and ran the first 11 second pass for a manual M3 that we know of turning an 11.9@118 mph. Congratulations for running 11's but the car seems to be down on power and has been from the beginning. This is a VT-2 600 with full exhaust and a higher boost pulley so we don't know why the dyno numbers are not over 500 whp. Regardless, congrats to the parties involved for being the first manual to run 11's.

        right, but i think everyone can live with a 10hp difference from claimed numbers, octane, wheels, and conditions could throw that # within 10hp eitherway..

        im just saying. what is real. Real customers here, are they getting exactly what the kit can do and about to go on an unneeded witch hunt? or is there a problem here.. thats the real question

        When we ordered the kit we were promised 500-510whp on 93 with exhaust. So we are 10-15 short. We were never promised 560-600 wheel or anything wild like that. I do see some people get more then what we got and I wonder how.

        The DynoJet I have been using for over 6 years now is fairly accurate and consistent. All 3 dynos were done on same dyno...

        Stock HP = 414. This car made 329whp which is 20% loss. seems reasonable to me.
        ESS HP = 600. Using same drivetrain loss of easy 20% ~500whp. This car on a unsmoothed chart made 499 and 493 with graph smoothing on.

        I'm sure you can figure out what is real. The strip isn't the one lying....

        Yep, the 560-600 claims were way earlier. 500-510 is realistic but you didn't hit that.

        Did I misunderstand or did i read a few people complaining about not having nice track in their area and they have ATCO MIR nearby??

        we all go to Atco, thats where this and my runs are, MIR is not close though, not impossible, but not close..

        what we are saying is, we KNOW we have GREAT TRACKS here, and go to them, but yet with the more powerful platforms, we are getting beat-up by less powerful cars (on track slips) and underperforming on Dyno's with same setups in other area's.. something gives..

        Well ATCO is one of the best tracks in the USA, some of the quickest and fastest times have been recorded there, same with MIR. You should try something like LACR (now gone) over here, would pretty much make you not want to drag race ever again.The other closest track in the desert is also poo most of the time...

        @taza, thats my point, we KNOW Atco is good, so what is going on everywhere else..?

        For the record, i DO think this M3, can run faster, probably in the 11.6-11.7 range @ 121-123mph..

        You have to play the game right. You know what tracks are fast around you and when they are fast. Just do what the others are doing to get their fast times, strip the car out, run race gas, sticky rubber, and run in negative DA at a notoriously fast track. You have to level the playing field.

        What, you think I enjoy renting a trailer and making the 8 hour trip to Sacramento?

        ATCO is one of the best, no doubt about that. LACR was at 4000 elevation which killed it to begin with and combine that with California weather and you have a useless track. Funny thing is it was still popular and used often, that is how desperate we are for a good strip.

        I would love to open a proper drag strip in Southern California. You in for a few hundred thousand?

        I believe you are correct. It should be a great year. Next time I head down to race way park I will turn up the boost, and maybe with some drag radials on 16 inch rims.
