• Active Autowerke is releasing a supercharger kit for the Euro E36 M3 S50B32 motor

      The S50B32 is a thing of beauty. This was the E36 M3 motor we did not get in the States but should have if BMW respected us. Well, too late for that, but not too late for Active Autowerke to release a supercharger for the popular motor. Unlike the US S50's, the S50B32 has indpendent throttle bodies and you can see how the Active manifold feeds into them. The blower used is an HKS unit likely the GTS8550. Pricing has not been revealed yet but a teaser dyno shows gains of 124 whp, very nice.

        As of right now MSRP will be $8300 with an intro of $7800, it is available world wide, first system is shipping out in 4-5 weeks, runs 7 psi, it's using the GTS8550 charger and there will be 91 octane maps for customers that require it.

        So excited about it! Will it be installed with the stock engine high compression ? no other changes except the maps ?

        Seems to be stock compression. You need the hardware and the tune obviously.

        WOW!! Finally came out, I went to Miami on my R&R to visit my wife and kids and I happened to see these 2 vehicles in the shop!!! Makes me want to place an Euro in my E36!!!!

        I think think its a waste. The cost of a decent running s50b30/32 euro motor is going to cost at least 5-7k in n/a form. While a m52 is going to cost 800-1200. Then F/I can be added, and its pretty much game over.

        What's the F/I ?
        As an s50b32 owner outside the us .. This is the greatest and almost the only performance upgrade that I can add to the car.. 124 extra HP is freaking awesome without having to touch my engine's internals.
        But I'm not sure how the remap will be done remotely ? Do I have to send my ecu or I will receive the map files and seek someone here to do it ? Specially that all euro M3 are NOT OBDII !

        He means forced induction.

        A lot of views are very US centric here and people don't realize this kit will be very well appreciated outside the US.

        Active Autowerke has European partners that can remap I believe.

        No dealers in Egypt but Bahrain would probably be best for you, they have a dealer there.
