      AC Schnitzer premiered their new 5 series at Geneva. The ACS 5 Sport S as they call it is based on the F10 550i. To reach 540 horsepower the car gets a tune along with a full exhaust. Body modifications include a front spoiler, chrome grille, modified fenders, sideskirts, and rear spoiler and diffuser to fit the exhaust. AC Schnitzer adds 8 piston front and rear brakes as well. The fenders seem pretty tacky honestly and the entire package just doesn't seem to flow all that well. Enjoy the pics:

        540 hp is nice but that's just it , i don't like ACS/Hamann kits for F10 , overdone ! RDS is the best cuz it's simple

        OT , why N63 in X6 sounds much deeper than 550i/750i? even stock X6 sounds meaner than 550i with aftermarket exhaust system.

        RDsport hasn't really shown anything though other than that picture which is a rendering from who knows how long ago.

        definitely dont like the fenders, i like the hamann kit over this one

        I think it looks hideous but the 540Hp sounds pretty good. I wish they listed a price for the tune and where its available. I looked into the OE tuning as you recommended sticky but I spoke with them and he wasn't sure it would work with the 550i as its only been tested in the 2010 X6 but he said he would ask his local dealer for a demo car to try it on and would get back to me. Anyways the tune only made about 40hp and 60lbs-ft which is actually less than the dinan so still on the look out for the best solution.

        I actually spoke to RD Sport today about the LCI E90 aero package. Anyway, the idea behind these show cars is not the buying the whole package but getting the pieces you want from the tuner.

        The rear valance is much better than the front. And Yukohama is correct in my book, as of right now the Hamann F10 M Sport Aero kit is the best one out there right now. I did like the Racing Dynamics F10 and thought it looked great but that was in 2009.

        The OE Tuning tune was likely quoted to you at the wheels. It is going to be a more aggressive tune unless you are referred to a canned tune, not custom dyno tune.

        I wouldn't put too much stock in ACS's claims, no dyno to back it and just a crank rating.

        If tuned these motors can put out incredible numbers... and this is just the beginning.

        Yeah the OE tuning #'s were whp but we recently saw a dinan'd 5 add 40+hp and 90ft-lbs which is higher. Although it's $900 more I get the added benefit of the warranty and only being without the car for 30 mins only. Still if 540 is to the crank and we say 15% drivetrain loss it's still 460whp and that's about 80 more than I dyno'd. I'll continue to wait to see why else pops up. Getting antsy though.

        You lose your BMW warranty, Dinan just substitutes their own.

        Yeah I know it's the dinan warranty but still its better than no warranty. But really I'm not to caught up on the warranty aspect it's just a matter of it's a nice added feature and if nothing else out there is making more power it maybe the way to go for now. And believe me I'm familiar with never having enough power, I'm currently building an rb25 that will hopefully make 1000hp+ and this is in a little 89 240sx! The 550i feels downright slow in comparison.
