      Underground Racing's Tuner has announced that UGR is wrapping up the first V10 Twin Turbo R8. They are expecting 1000 whp on pump gas which is just stupid power, stupid good. This is the Stage 3 and specifications will be out soon. This being Stage 3 and 1000 whp on pump this means built motor. Pricing should be inline with the the Gallardo V10 built motor setups. Tuning is done by John Reed through a Motec standalone.

        Might as well -- considering the bumper is still off, it might be a week or more before the videos are done

        Don't they share the same V10? if so, that would be a damn close race, only the gearing/aerodynamics/weight would be the main factors...

        ahh im taking into account that the r8 v10 was detuned but with UGR that would be gone. would really be interesting to see though. how do the transmissions, gearing, aero compare though?

        Everything gets heat wrapped and shielded up before the body work goes on. However I think most would agree it looks the sexiest in its bare polished state so that is how all the pictures are taken.

        Engines, transmissions, and tire sizes are the same although I suppose it is possible Audi tweaked the final drive. The weight is the main factor: an R8 GT weighs about the same as a Gallardo, but 200lbs more than the Superleggera. The regular R8 weighs 400lbs more than a Gallardo, and 600lbs more than a Superleggera... Audi released aero specs (.35 Cd 21.4 frontal area) but Lamborghini has not (wiki says .31 for a murci but I doubt it). Regardless, from the near identical top speeds we know the drag is very close (199mph for the 552hp 3350lb R8 GT, 202mph for the 562hp 3150lb LP570-4 Superleggera).

        S65 can, anything can, it's just that this is all possible due to a mid-engine layout and a Motec.
