We were contacted by a Dutch media firm who will be supplying us specifically with BMW WTCC content. Tom Coronel will be the driver competing with his Roal Motorsport BMW in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Many of you know this driver who switched to BMW from Seat for the 2011 season. We had a language barrier to get through and the videos will be subtitled in English for your enjoyment. This is the test video before the first race in Brazil which should serve as a nice foundation for the season. Enjoy the video and the WTCC coverage BimmerBoost will be bringing you.
Tom Coronel is allways good with media presentations.
It's a bit surprising he found a seat for this year, considdering the results with the Seats in the last years. Good for him. I would like to be informed here

He finished 8th last year, which is just about the average of his finishes.
For a guy his age he is doing very well.
The Seat diesel he had before last year never enabled him to reach these results he made last year. Thing is, with the car from last year he was expected to be on the podium a lot more than the one time he finished second.
His twin brother finished the Dakar rally on his own in a buggy, and became class winner in the T3 solo class.
He races everything he can get his hands on

That is what I was thinking, for an older guy he seems to be doing pretty well.
WTCC has never done it for me. Its cool and all but not interesting enough for me to fallow. I don't know why BMW runs the 3 series in WTCC it should be the 1 series.

BMW does not have a factory effort in the WTCC any longer.
They could put the same engine on a 1 series. Most of the 1 series hatchbacks in Europe run on small displacement engines. Thats what they should race in WTCC.
You would have to ask the team but I'm not surprised to see a 3 in the WTCC. I prefer it over a 1 anyway.
I prefer 1 series. It is better to give exposure to different cars. They race the M3 on GT2 and the Z4 on GT3. It would be awesome if they raced the 1 on WTCC since the 3 series is now going to DTM.

I don't really think it matters all that much but I prefer they go with what they historically have raced. The team already decided and I think they made the right choice.

A M3 racing SEATs and Chevys looks ridiculous. Even worst if they lose.
