      In South America, South Africa, and parts of Europe, this is apparently a very popular option. It features a 6.3 liter W12 motor with 500 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. 0-60 is only 7.3 seconds though considering the major heft. The windows are all specially made to be able to resist whatever is thrown at them and they alone add almost 700 pounds of weight to the car. A standard A8L W12 weighs almost 4600 pounds so this thing is definitely up there.

      Audi says each car takes 450 hours of additional manual labor, and we believe them. The reinforced sheetmetal for example NATO rifle ammunition earning it a VR 7 ballistic certification. Sounds pretty beefy right? If that isn't good enough, it can withstand a hand grenade. Impressed now? A push button fire suppression system can put out fires in the wheel wells and basically anywhere else in the car including the fuel tank and engine compartment. A stored oxygen container will release fresh oxygen for a limited period if necessary.

      All the standard features are also available, four zone climate control, massaging seats, stereo upgrades, etc. This is basically a military grade luxury vehicle though. That is why it has a special communications box for calling for help or using a loud speaker to communicate with whomever may be outside the car.

      So how much for all this? We don't know, we have not been in the market for one. It will appear on the option later this year with the first deliveries coming toward the end of the year as well.         Pimp. I would much prefer this over an american armored suburban, this just looks a lot sleeker.

        Would you rather go to the body shop and say you want to repair scratches from getting door dinged or due to falling shell casings from your Gatling turret?

        I think this is the classic example of 'if you have to ask, you can't afford it'. Looks badass though. I've always wondered how much money I'd have to be making for it to be worth putting my family in serious, all hours, jeopardy.

        Any guesses on price? $400k? I would much rather have one of these rather than a LFA from lexus...

        for that level of refinement, offered from the factory, id say your about right there on price, but closer to 500 or 600k. i know for a suburban, with no comforts, but full ballistic protection is about 250k. and those are the ones that have no interior comforts, just dynamat padding ect..
