• New Spyphotos of the W204 C-class AMG Coupe - different motor than C63 AMG?

      MotorAuthority has put up some new spy photos of the upcoming C class AMG coupe. This model is supposed to be packing a 5.5 liter 422 horsepower naturally aspirate V8 which will be shared with the new SLK AMG. We find that a big disappointing since Mercedes has a perfectly good M156 6.2 V8 they already put in the C63 AMG. Why neuter the C AMG Coupe? On the bright side, the Black Series C-coupe is still reportedly coming with the M157 twin turbo V8.

        Sounds like BS. They will put the 6.2 V8 in it. I am thinking that the Coupe with the Performance Package which puts out 481HP is going to massively outperform the e92 M3

        If it in fact would get the M156 V8 with the performance package then yes, it would run circles around the M3.

        the numbers the new engine puts out and i can only imagine the sound, BMW better step up their game

        I'm not impressed with them if they make it a C55 coupe instead of C63. However, if the black series is twin turbo BMW will have no answer, Mercedes would have essentially $#@! slapped them.
