The worst BMW driver ever allowed onto the Nurburgring

Found this clip on another website some weeks ago with embedded video. COuldn't find it on youtube.
The car can be realligned right after he slams on the curbs at 0:56. Does it all over again at 2:33.
Kids in an M3... Oh well, better there than on the public road.

God must be one of the worse drivers ive seen hahaha missed just about every Apex and just clearly needs to not drive on a track...

In a country where running out of gas on the autobahn is illegal, I wonder if that display of...whatever the hell it was is punishable by death, because it should be.

This is why cars are set up for understeer from the factory, to protect the lowest common denominator.

Makes sense honestly, especially with a RWD BMW that can correct it with power on oversteer. Although I don't recommend for this guy to try it.

That is what is glorious about the ring while being the worst part at the same time. Anyone in any street legal (although they don't really check) car can run on the ring during the public time. Every time I ran my biggest concern was the other drivers. For the record I am not aware of any normal insurance plan that covers you on the ring so you're taking your car into your own hands when you pull onto the track. Knowing whatever happens is on you 100% is a weird feeling
When I went I never made any videos or even timed myself because that is the quickest way to get into an accident. Trying to show off or make up for lost time on a bad corner by going into the next one hot is just a recipe for disaster. I don't have the stats in front of me right now but it was way over 50% of accidents on the ring have a timing device going in the car. Just as an example the first time I went, I almost got hit before I even got onto the track. It's set up like a toll booth with a bunch of lanes and gates, but when you pull out of your gate it quickly combines with the other lanes to form one to merge onto the track. The booths are timed to open staggered, but as it was my first time and I was taking my time navigating the cones and getting the lay of things, I apparently wasn't going quickly enough for the guy that started right behind me. He decided it was a good idea to try to can it in his $#@! box Golf and pass me the the combine and merge area. He ended up hitting 3 cones and nearly side swiping me. The stories go on

Yeah, saw this few weeks back, thought it was on here somewhere...

Anyways, I wish they made something similar to the 'ring here in the US...we have lots of space here in texas you hear!

People wouldn't know how to handle it.

Although, it is a brilliant idea. Imagine a track where you just go through a toll booth whenever you want to run. No rental dates, no BS, just go.

I'm sure we can find some venture capitalists to do that

Well another reason we couldn't have it in the states is the propensity of people to expect the government to protect people from themselves. That and the frivolous lawsuits. Things go wrong pretty often the the ring, and with how fast the course is and that lack of really any runoff on most portions of the track, it usually ends pretty badly. I think this guy sums it up pretty well (nurburgring.org warning)

I couldn't even begin to count the number of accidents I've seen there. You'll spot a damage-only crash every few laps, and closures due to more serious accidents happen several times a day.

It's a known fact that the ring owners and the government heavily downplay all the injuries and deaths, but the reasonable estimates I've seen say 3-12 deaths per year. This is with the Germans relatively anal inspection process keeping a lot of the unsafe vehicles off the road. I can only imagine a teenage driver running their 5th hand '95 STI around the track with no suspension maintenance. As amazing as it would be to have a US version of the ring, I just don't see it happening in my lifetime.

Same here, juist like we won't see an American Autobahn. Americans think they are sooooo great but they can't handle a little bit of a personal responsibility.

This guy is crazy, He is obviously not going to be the owner of that vehicle for long because it is going to end up destroyed. I feel sorry for the guys not driving, after the first time he hit the curb I would have made him stop the car so I could get out. I also think he should get some better tires because they squeal for to much for M3 tires, maybe its just his bad driving.
It also funny that everyone on the car keeps saying langsam (excuse the spelling) it means slow down!
