2010 was a great year, namely because it was our first. A lot of changes took place and during this first year we had some great moments as well as some that made you shake your head. We feel this compilation reflects the best and worst that 2010 had to offer in our respective areas of coverage. Enjoy the list:
Best Performance Achievement of the Year
Winner: djborya sets new overall BMW 60-130 record
Djborya has had quite a year running incredible 1/4 and 60-130 times in his turbo E30. We saw several records fall this year but becoming the only BMW in the 4's 60-130 is rarefied air indeed. Congratulations Boris!
Runner-up: Mikewads and dodger63 both first in the 10's for their respective platforms, E92 M3 and C63 AMG.
This was a tough one as we could not choose favorites, so we have a tie. Mikewads raised the bar for the E92 M3 in 2010 running record 60-130's as well as being the first to hit 10's. Dodger63 with his MHP powered C63 was the first to hit 10's on his platform as well as run some record 60-130's himself. We have to call this one a draw.
Story of the Year
Winner: Discovery Automotive destroys customer's car along with what was left of their reputation
This was our most popular story of the year by far. Nothing even came close, all the major blogs picked it up and it really vaulted BimmerBoost into the mainstream. After this went up Discovery Automotive took their site down and has not been heard from since. Hopefully, their doors have been closed, permanently.
Runner-up: ASR and the Twin Turbo M5 debacle
ASR had a pretty rough year getting thrown out from BimmerBoost for basically conning members out of their money with promises they could not deliver. This story is long from over but this was one of the most important developments of the year.
Article of the Year
Winner: S65 vs. S54
This was in our opinion far and way the best BMW article written in 2010. This article has made it onto every BMW forum, even those who refuse to acknowledge the existence of BimmerBoost, and has received routine praise throughout the community. A little self-serving, but we firmly believe it was the best of 2010.
Runner-up: Nitrous Express EFI Nitrous Kit / Progressive Controller / Acces. **FULL REVIEW/DIY**
Former_boosted_IS put out a good amount of top quality reviews and DIY's in 2010. This is just one of his many articles but we feel this one is the best. It explains why he chose the setup he chose along with the data to back it up. It is incredibly detailed and simply sets the standard by which all other reviews and DIY's are measured.
Best Performance Development of the year:
Winner: C63 AMG Black Series to get twin turbo V8.
Several places are reporting this is the case and if true, we can all mark this down as the moment Mercedes surpassed BMW as the enthusiast brand of choice.
Runner-up: Mercedes to expand AMG lineup
The good news just keeps on pouring in from Mercedes. From more AMG models to a potential 911 rival, 2011 is poised to be the year of the Benz.
Worst Performance Development of the Year:
Winner: 1M Coupe gets stock N54
BMW, you royally screwed this up and sold out. This marks the end of the M brand as we know it, thanks for the memories. Yes, it will sell, good for you but you lost our respect.
Runner-up: BMW begins to focus on FWD platforms.
It was nice knowing you, good luck in the future Toyota.

The most underrated posts on the site, great mix of info and color commentary. Seriously, appreciate it.

If you have ever ventured into OT, you know this needs no explanation.

He carried the OT forum by himself the first months, he deserves it.

Winner: RB 335 vs....
This one deserves it, clearly, even spilling onto other forums. An epic thread that evolved into who knows what with a little bit of everything thrown in.
Runner-up: Interesting Procede Gossip
If there was a thread that was more controversial or got more debate flowing from both sides we do not know what it is... doubt our server could handle it anyway.
It was a great year and if we missed anything, we apologize, but this is what stood out to us. Thank you for a great 2010 and here is to a great 2011!
