      The Mercedes SLS E-cell has been officially approved for production as revealed at the North American International Auto Show. Mercedes announced the production to coincide with what they are touting as 125 years of technological innovation. The E-cell is expected to be able to do over 100 miles on a single charge. Yes, it is much heavier than he standard SLS and not as fast but electrics are new to the performance auto world. No word on the price yet but you can bet it won't be cheap.
