      Let me start off by saying that the Turbo S is one hell of a fast car. The 911 Turbo S runs 0-60 in 2.6 seconds and completes the 1/4 mile in 10.7 @ 129mph right off the showroom floor!

      On our first run I was able keep the lead and on the second run he held the lead. It was a matter of who hit the throttle first, so on just supercharger we are a pretty even match from a roll. The video below is our last run and I used a small 50hp shot of nitrous to make sure the BMW got the win. :

      Also, I have decided to sell my M3. I know that's probably a shocker, but I'm ready for a new project and have my sights set on a 2012 Nissan GT-R in the new Blue Pearl color. If you interested in buying my beast send me a PM. As most of you already know it has the fastest 1/4 mile and 60-130 times on record of any late model E9x BMW.

        As usual I didn't have that side mirror positioned correctly. The first race just shows him disappear out of both of my cameras and the second race shows him pulling me by a car length and staying there until about 135mph.

        Great runs Mike! Good choise to buy an GT-R, our Blue pearl Gt-R will bee delivered in ferbruari, i will keep the M3 also and it will be intresting to see if the Sc m3 can keep up with the 2012 GT-R

        Just curious, why did you bump the nitrous shot down to 50 and not go for the full 100 as it was set?
        Also, did you guys only get to do one run?
        Bummed you are selling but I understand you being ready for a new project. I'll promote this to the front page to help you get some exposure for your sale, it has been a pleasure having you participate and watching your performance evolution. If/when you make the change, I hope we can still have you participate with your GTR as well.
        I change nitrous pills based upon what I need to do the job and I knew a 50 shot would do it. I don't push the car to the limits unless I have too. See above comment on the other runs.
        Thanks for the added exposure. I would love to sell this car to another performance enthusiast! It's a great car, but I'm just ready for a new project.

        The Turbo S is insane. It is crazy M3 needs two extra cylinders, aftermarket supercharger kit, and nitrous to run with a stock 911. But the 911 Turbo S does cost a lot more.

        The M3 is NA to begin with. Of course it needs boost, why wouldn't it? What NA 8 cylinder can run with the Turbo S in stock form? The M3 with boost alone can run with the 911 turbo S, with single digit boost and an SC.

        A better way to look at it is the 911 turbo S needs PDK, turbos, and an extra $90k to beat the M3. Works both ways, right?

        I guess you missed the point of my of my post or I didnt relay my thoughts clearly.

        I was simply stating Porsche others a package of that magnitude, stock. But like I said it is expensive.

        Perhaps I did, it is VERY impressive stock but I got the impression you said you were stating the M3 needs boost + more cylinders to compete as if it is weak when really all it needs is an SC and it can do it for far less $. That makes it impressive IMO.

        It would still lose though, so it would seem there is no stock production car NA 8 cylinder that can run with it.

        very impressive, nitrous makes more power than the shot says on DI motors like the n54, a 25 shot is actually much more horsepower than that, how does nitrous affect the s65? are the numbers comparable to the power added?

        I think the Turbo S is faster than the 458. In a comparison done by one of the magazines the Turbo S was something like 5 mph quicker through the 1/4, that is big.

        It isn't that nitrous makes more power with DI it is how it reacts with boost. The shots being used are dry shots as well, former_boosted_IS illustrated this all well in his nitrous article.

        Nitrous is great on the S65 just like on the S85. With a direct port setup the car could run 10's.

        You're right, Car and Driver had a 4mph difference. But when looking at a 60-130 and taking launch and the first 60mph out of the equation I think it would be much closer than you think. I remember reading in a Euro mag that the 458 was actually faster after 120 or so...not sure if its true or not, maybe it was 140.         Then i'm sure different conditions favor certain cars more than the other...who knows. Trust me, I WANT the 997.2 T-S to be faster as we have one on order...lol. Its fair to say the 458 would be pretty even with a most SC E9Xs from a roll...and thats F'n impressive considering it makes almost 150hp more than the S65 with only .5L more displacement, just another 600rpm and no power adder.
