      It is always great to see independent results at the drag strip to put manufacturer claims and magazine times into context. Here we have a completely stock SL65 AMG. Street tires, pump gas, no mods at all. 11.75@120 on street tires with that much power is very respectable. This time is a baseline and the owner will be returning to the strip with mods to show their impact, that is what we like to see.

        What kind of strip is it? Slow, fast, gets good DA?

        either way that car is moving. my car when it had 450awhp on stock block and e85 did that identical time

        That track is generally good, I'm pretty sure he ran sometime maybe last week? If so the air was perfect. My buddy tried to run last month when it was 42F outside and his 11.8 second 135 could only hit 12.6s because the track was too cold. Everyone that night was not able to launch, they werent used to the cold track.

        Overall its an ok track. I couldnt tell you what the DA was, dragtimes has a DA calculator, just type in the date and location and it calculates it for you.

        Well, it is a 4400 pound car.

        The trap isn't too low, magazines get like 122-123 out of it and their traps are high. This is pretty realistic but it would definitely be higher on race gas and with some stickier rubber.

        Anyone know what the DA was? PBIR is a good track, but DA varies bigtime depending on time of year.
