• Update on 930chas's E-shift Performance 2JZ swap into E39 M5, car has dyno'd 762 whp at 30 psi

      Justin Nenni from Tuning Concepts has been up at E-shift tuning the past couple days. Yesterday he tuned the car on 93 pump gas, and it made 585whp at 19psi. They have been working on it today with e85. Here is a video of one of the dyno runs. They are still working on it, but it just hit 762whp at 30psi on e85.

        That is simply sick, ridiculous, awesome, etc. Anyone who doesn't like this kind of swap certainly can't argue with the result.

        yes , really.I'm not a big fan of swaping 2JZ/RB26/LS1... into Bmw , but you can't get that kind of power with the S62

        Exactly, and for the $ spent you can't beat this with an S62. It would be interesting to see what other BMW's would be a good candidate for this swap.

        Thanks, Sticky. I obviously agree with you 100%.

        Also, remember this is a stock bottom end motor. Talking with Justin yesterday he said that with this tune that motor should be good for an easy 60k miles. 750+whp stock block motor with a safe tune. LOL. Blows me away.

        I wouldn't say "wayyyy sicker" but the extra displacement would make things interesting. Most likely wouldn't rev as well though.

        Here is a new video of the car. A few questions that might pop up from the video, yes, the water temp gauge will work, no as of right now the oil temp will not. I am hoping to come up with a solution to that. The dyno run in the video was 745whp, the 762 run wasn't captured on video. The few pulls in the video were down to about 5000-5500rpm because of traction issues. I will provide plenty many more videos when I receive the car and can also provide pictures of specific details if anyone has interest. This video has really wet my appetite and I am bouncing off the walls waiting to get this car back.

        Contacting e-shift would be a good idea but I doubt they would share all their secrets so people can do it on their own.

        The car is undergoing a few changes. Resonators because I guess I am getting old and it was too damn loud. Racelogic Traction Control because again..too old and tail out antics at high speeds aren't as enjoyable anymore. Lastly, built motor and a bigger turbo which I will update on later.
