      According to thelocal, a German news source, a crime ring operating in the Munich BMW plant has been caught. 18 workers systematically would steal parts from the plant and put them up for sale on online auctions. At least 3 of the now ex-employees are in custody and are likely going to pay a heavy price. It is said that car seats is where the big bucks were at, stealing them and storing them at a warehouse to later sell online. We figured it would be high pressure fuel pumps?

        I would have bought them from the thieves. BMW is already trying to steal money from you if you want to buy them.

        what?3500 euro for just seats or the whole car?
        i had a set of Alcantra Black Recaro seats , they were so awesome, and the price was just 2000 euro

        They are 1832.25 euro a piece, which is 3664.50 euro for a set x 1.35 = $4947.08
        And no, that is only for the seats.
        Feels a bit like stealing allready

        What the hell are they thinking? Who is stupid enough for paying 3664 or even worse 5000 euro for just seats?
        Screw those seats , i keep my 5000 euro

        Turner Motorsport has them... they aren't cheap.

        What I speciffically dislike about BMW performance parts is that you can only get those as aftermarket items.
        You cannoy order your car with these seats for instance.
        You will need to buy them after the car is in your possession. So besides paying a sh*tload of money for these seats, you're left with 2 perfectly good seats which you cannot get rid off.

        Are you sure you can't get them to begin with through BMW individual?

        I tried when I bought my car, but the dealer stated that they were only aftermarket.

        But it happened.
        After the car was delivered I went to a upholster (which adress was provided by the dealer) who modified the foam in the driversseat so that the seat hugs me a bit better and keeps me in place.
        Costed 250 Euro, but was worth it.
