Just calling it like I see it, the RS5 is a great car but when he says the RS5 is a bit faster based on nothing but a drive through a backroad with an M3 following him and the specs Audi provides I think that is ridiculous.

This car should be given tremendous credit, a marvelous achievement.

The video clearly shows that Quattro traction is far more useful in the real world. He is also quite correct in saying the RS5 is far more powerful, it has 450 hp! No comparison really, the Audi motor is much more impressive and the power is much more useful. Congratulations to Audi!

You are on the other end bro. You are a Audi RS5 fanboy. Even more sad than Sticky because you dont own an RS5.

The truth is these two cars are not worth the money. It would be wiser and smarter to buy a GTR at that price point.

Quit with the GTR stuff, not everyone wants an AWD turbo car. Some people like the racecar feeling you get with a high revving NA motor and RWD. Let me guess, someone should get a GTR over a 911 GT3 as well?

I will give you this, the Z06 really is an amazing car with a great motor. Great weight, performance, everything. I could never bring myself to get an American car though but that is changing as I get older.

There is far more to it than that. If you want to mitigate all there is that goes into someone being a BMW fan, go for it, but I can give you a long list of reasons as to why I like BMW and the M3 in particular.

It is becoming harder to like BMW as of late and if I was a fanboy, why am I as critical as I am of them?

When have these ever been M3 targets historically?

Why the GT3 or C6 as its target? Why? They aren't even in the same class or the competition, the RS4, IS-F, and C63 are and the M3 is the best of those cars, significantly so.

You are holding the M3 up to an invalid standard.

And when has the C63 ISF or RS5 been competitors historically. They all came out for the first time last couple years. Tell me what has been the M3 competitors historically. The M3 has always been a niche market car with no real competitors until 3 or 2 years ago when all those came out after the e92 m3.

Mercedes has always targeted the M3 with their hopped up versions of their sport sedans. I mean, come on, you posted the 190E photos you should know this.

If you can't see why an IS-F is relevant competition and a C6 Vette is not, I really can't help you.

The M3 has not always been a niche market car, what are you talking about? No real competitors? So what, the B5 S4 was what, irrelevant? The C32 AMG never existed? Those were well before 2-3 years ago, I think you need to take a better look at the history, start with the 190E if you like.

the 190E Evo was a road version of the DTM car. The closest that could be compared was the e30 M3 because the e28 M5 was $#@!. And since BMW used the e30 on DTM thats where the competition came from not the respective street cars.

Dont try to school me kid. The M3 has always been a niche without real competition until few years ago. It was great because it was the best sports car under 100k but now its just one of the bunch of options and it really isn't the best one.

Exactly, but the 190E street car was still aimed at the E30 M3 street car. The 190E 2.5 was really the direct rival for the E30 M3, sport sedan, same type of car.

It was never the best sports car under 100k, it was always the best sports sedan under 100k. You need to learn your history as it is getting embarrassing. So the E46 M3 was a better sports car than a 996? Or a C5 Z06? Those are sports cars, the M3 was always the best all around car, it has never been a dedicated sports car and never will be. You may be having trouble and are comparing it to the GT3 and C6 Vette because you don't even understand what it is.
