No doubt there are going to be some BMW purists who freak out when they see this. They will avert their eyes and start shouting "blasphemy" as they see the supra turbo motor in the E39 M5. Well, if you happen to see one of these "purists" acting in such a matter, please smack some sense into them. E-shift performance has done several of these swaps in to the E39 and E36 and we must say it makes a lot of sense. The BMW S62 simply has not seen the aftermarket development the 2JZ-GTE has and to get big power out of it who knows how much money it would take. This swap makes a lot of sense especially financially and the motor does not look out of place in the E39 M5 engine bay. We will be posting updates on the progress as soon we get them from 930chas. In the mean time, check out some of the work E-shift has done below.
I'm still in love with the 4th gen Supra styling..... fresh paint and the right rims/suspension really make that car look good, and it's easy to get the power to match.
this is ballin man, these engines barely have a limit on anything you can upgrade everysingle thing and make it even more of a beast. i'm in love with this even tho its not a bmw engine lol.
that turbo is so sexy, it looks like my gt35 except mines not in my car... yet

A kid I went to school with had a 600+whp 93 supra... It was the wildest car I've ever been in... Wish I could own one... 2jz in the m5 is going to be mint... Glws

Supra is actullay a good bit lighter then the M5, so I am guessing the rush of acceleration is more substantial in that car. I really thought the e39s were ~3800lbs, but they are 4000lbs which is a heavy pig. I believe Supras are 3400-3500lbs.

Sometimes moving a heavier object though gives a different feeling. The feeling of accelerating a heavy car with a lot of power is different from a light one. Your car is going to feel insane, I'm jealous.
Haha. That is true. I think it is going to be a lot of fun.
You will not realize how fast you are actually going until you look at the speedometer ,it will fool you.
Great project and from what I have read and seen the guys at E-SHIFT do their job well and have pride in their work.
There is a guy on here who had an E30M3 that was being done by them...I think he just recently sold the project so he could pile more funds into the 335 LOL
