• Tuned E60 M5 versus W211 E55 AMG with exhaust and stock C6 Z06 from a roll

      Great run videos here from BimmerBoost member TZ04XJR. He has the E60 M5 which is the camera car in the videos and his modifications consist of an Evolve R-Tune, RPI Intake, and a muffler delete. The E55 AMG has an exhaust which is not named and the C6 Z06 is completely stock. The M5 makes fairly easy work of the E55 AMG which is to be expected of a car that just has the exhaust versus a tuned M5 which shows its strength from a roll even when the E55 gets the jump.


      The Z06 though easily dispatches the M5. This is to be expected for the much lighter Z06 which even stock will be putting out similar power to the rear wheels. Even with headers and a full exhaust the M5 would have trouble. The Z06 is simply a beast.

        Nice runs!!!!

        The tune on that M5 sure helps!! We have run stock e55's with stock e60's all the time and its usually pretty even!

        Thanks! Certainly the tune gives a noticeable performance improvement. I hate driving it around on the stock file.

        A little OT but have you guys considered tuning the 09+ CTS-V?

        stock is just not as fun!!!

        we have, we just don't want to jump into a market that we can't focus all our attention on right away or put the right resources on. We are expanding so quickly, it would be hard to give the customers the correct amount of attention needed with a new vehicle launch!

        I appreciate the response. I ask because my boss is out in Houston with a V and asked me for a reputable tuner in his area.

        Im trying to get my friend to run me in his 09 E60 M5. He's got a nice mod list on there. Mine keeps getting longer as well. So I want to see what it would do. He won't race me from a dig though. Only rolling starts. I don't mind. My car doesn't suffer from heat like other E55s.
