• OE Tuning tuned W204 C63 AMG sedan versus stock F10 M5 from a roll - Dead even race?

      This is a very nice run showing a tuned car, in this case the C63 AMG, versus the brand new F10 M5 with its beastly underrated S63tu twin turbo V8 putting out 527 rear wheel horsepower stock. The C63 AMG is running a tune from OE Tuning and it is impressive the way the Mercedes M156 naturally aspirated V8 with less power than the F10 M5 even with a tune runs door to door with it. Additionally, the C63 AMG does not have the quick shifting dual clutch transmission.


      The F10 M5 in stock form will do about 120 traps through the 1/4 mile. A tuned C63 all motor is capable of 120+ trap speeds as well so everything adds up. The M5's curb weight hurts it a bit as it weighs in at over 4300 pounds. The C63 is no lightweight in the 39XX pound range but it is about 400 pounds lighter. Still, one would think with the huge power advantage even stock and the dual clutch transmission the M5 would be stronger.

        Nice to see a tune only C63 running with the F10 M5. Not saying it is slouch at all, but the F10 M5 seemed a little over hyped to me.

        once again no surprises... an F10 m5 is quick but it's no supercar... it's weight really hurts it. Great run for the C63. M5 also has the DCT.

        Damn, not too bad. I kinda though you would pull since you have a tune. I'm guessing you'd need a couple more mods and a more aggressive tune and he'd have trouble. Nice run though!

        me and him had battles with my 135i , I gotta give him a go with my e92 now but my damn car spins in third at 70mph now in this weather ....

        Jons c63 is VERY quick, quicker than most if not all tune only c63s to that m5 actually is very strong... before i watched i expected jon to get a jump and hold it, surprised the m5 hung so well bc jons car is def quick.

        I thought the M5 would walk me good. With its 560hp underrated,DCT.

        This is better than a lot of videos I see. At least it's clear.

        WOW. surprising! After seeing all the BS m5board videos and such, makes the 'stock' M5 seem super fast! But its power to weight only makes sense. Jon, I remember you raced a M6 once with a tune and exhaust, was it faster then this M5?

        No I'm Stock turbos but I am #1 on the Vargas stage 2 turbos just like Rb's... Id run ya before to see how it compares tho :-)


        I think my red car and my car now were very similar tho. This one just being quicker in the 1/4 due to the AT ... Not sure which is quicker off rolls but this one is tuned aggressively with e85 and stacked jb4 iso tune

        That M6 with airscoops,full exhaust was faster wayup top.

        I've heard e85s does wonders for n54s.

        yea it works well and allows for more aggressive timing, but i still think these cars need meth ontop to assure consistancy and make up for weaker blends of e85... just my opinion though... but you can def make significantly more power over 93 with e85.

        DD I just run a 50/50 blend of e85 but if i am going to race ill fill the trunk tank up and start using meth again... I never ran you with your upgraded tune in my red car before i ditched it so that kinda ruins the "which one of my cars was faster" test with you. This new e92 is def tuned more aggressive but is heavier but is also AT so i dont know which was faster... im assuming this one may be a smidge better from roll-ons too
