      We all know the 3.0 TFSI 3.0 liter supercharged V6 from Audi is pretty strong by now, right? Continuous engine of the year awards, great architecture, and an ability to gain a lot of power through tuning are all great reasons to love this motor. APR appears to be set to take it to the next level on the 3.0 TFSI platform announcing they will be doing what they are referring to as a Stage III upgrade.

      The question becomes, what will this upgrade consist of? Well, an upgraded supercharger as APR shows below. Their own manifold with apparently integrated heat exchanger built around the supercharger for cooling. No word on pricing or gains but things just got very, very interesting.

        WOW!! That's really awesome. Those guys at APR rock!! These engines are becoming even more appealing as time goes by.

        knowing APR the cost of this upgrade will be on par of what i paid for my 335i

        WOW... a lot to look forward to when I get back stateside.... Glad I decided to go ahead and get the S5... (no thanks to Sticky and the other members who voted on my poll)...

        Knowing APR it will be of a level of quality to warrant the pricing though.

        X2, and customer service to back it up. APR is on another level when it comes to modifying cars.

        agreed.. like the n54 ST kits i wish there was a larger market for them so pricing would be more realistic. For most people dropping 10k on motor only work is out of the question. APR is definatly a reputable company and delivers high quality parts.. cant wait to see one of these kits in action

        APR are just some of the best guys in the business IMO... I ran their products on Audi's and VW's previously and loved them. Interested in seeing the HP gains with this on a stock motor

        Just test drove a new 2013 S5 today. Fantastic car, getting back into 335is was a let down. Enjoyed every aspect better in the S5. Oh and the S5 interior sh*ts all over the E92.

        But what about handling... I mean I know it'll handle better than my X5, which handles pretty good for a 5k LBS SUV (SAV)... But I thought the handling in my '08 335xi was pretty good, is the S5 as good, or even better than the E90/E92?

        The S5 handles very well only issue is the balance. A lot of weight on the nose.

        As if the X5 didn't have a lot of weight on the nose... I know, totally different class of cars... Well not planning on racing this car (unless it's at a track) anyway. But definately will be doing atleast a STG II upgrade, but good to know that a STG III will be available if I so do desire to go that route... I wonder if APR will have a discount for people who already had the STG II if/when they decide to upgrade to STG III...

        Stage III is all new hardware so I don't see how the Stage II would apply.

        Well, with the S/C pulley, they state that upgrades to the software will be free for those with the tune already (not a discount per se), so I would assume that upgrades to the software would be free with the STG III hardware upgrade... Of course it's just an assumption

        They could credit software if they wanted, up to them. But it really is completely different than the Stage II.
