      As BMW often does they released a concept model ahead of the official debut of a new production model. In this case, it is the F32 4-Series Coupe. The car looks all around and sleeker than the F30 3-Series. BMW's new "side vent" seen on the 3-Series GT (Gran Turismo) is also incorporated on the 4-Series coupe. Most opinions thus far on the forums are calling the vent tacky but it seems to be a staple of the new BMW styling direction for this generation.

      The F32 4-Series has a two inch longer wheelbase than the F30 3-Series. It also is 1.7 inches wider with half an inch less height. This lends to a more aggressive, sleeker, and sexier looking car.

      The drivetrain lineup will no doubt mirror the F30 3-Series. The question is if BMW will go with the 440i or 435i name for the model using the N55 3.0 liter turbo. In the 3-Series the model is referred to as the 335i so it would be odd for BMW not to mirror this although this same motor also get the 40i treatment in other models such as the 640i. Time will tell, for now enjoy the photos until we get the official production model sometime next year.

        To what? I think I am going to go a different direction on my next car and pick up an old (now) Ferrari F355. I just cant get over how awesome that car is... the sound!!!

        Flat-plane crank V8's revving to the moon are going to sound badass aka Ferrari's.

        Either a Gallardo or maybe the new RS6. I think it's time for a break from BMW.

        The side line looks nice bit the front is hideous. Those huge openings make it appear like a SUV. No me gusta.

        so will i (probably). I optically like the new mustang shelby gt 500 for now. I wan't go for a turbo car, thats for sure.
        But i will test drive the supercharger and see if it gets me the Click here to enlarge feeling i get when driving with a turbo. But i dont expect so.

        The GT500 is instant torque. It will slam you back right away from any RPM. It's a different kind of power delivery and I much prefer it to turbo.

        I'll have to try the GT500 out as well.

        I kind of hope they remove the side vent. Looks exactly like the one used on the IS-F.

        I really like the look and the feel. They really do need to redesign that side vent though. Its there to reduce the "parachuting" effect but it needs to be longer and thinner or something.

        It was much closer with the previous generation but kind of funny how BMW is somewhat following Audi styling cues now:

        The car looks big, especially with 20s. I wonder if it'll look odd with some 19s. Can't wait for the 2 and M2 variants or even a redesigned 1M.

        I just cant take the rear of this car seriously, that bumper and exhaust pipes are just disgusting.
        Have fun aftermarket world with that, if it makes it to production...

        Interior however I am a fan of!

        It's a concept, the real thing will be toned down. It's going to be a beauty.

        Anyone have pics of the E9X concept pics that are taken in a similar style so we can see how much closer to this the 4-series will look. Personally I'm likin it.

        The concepts hold pretty true but this one is a little much for a production concept. The real thing will be way toned down.
