• GIAC Stage 2 tuned B8 S4 with AWE-Tuning pulley pulls a bolt on E92 6MT M3 from a roll

      The B8 S4 is a stout platform offering very large gains from bolt-on mods including a tune. The E92 M3 being naturally aspirated and not supercharged from the factory does not gain as much but starts with more horsepower to begin with. GIAC tested their Stage 2 software at the airstrip and the result was their B8 S4 with the S-Tronic dual clutch transmission pulling a 6-speed manual bolt on E92 M3.


      The S4 has the Stage 2 software, AWE-Tuning intake, BCS Automotive exhaust, AWE-Tuning pulley, Evolution Racewerks charge cooler separator, 104 octane race gas/map, and spare removed. The E92 M3 has an intake, X-pipe, underdrive pulley, axle back exhaust, and some race gas mixed in. What the M3 really needs is a tune though.

      The race is filmed from the exterior which is a bummer but it still shows what happens. Definitely impressive how much quicker the B8 S4 can get with some bolt on's.

        GIAC and AWE do great work... I used AWE on several Audi's and Dubs always spot on. The S4 moves

        I agree, and unfortunately we had one but when we got home the memory card had completely stopped functioning.

        Unfortunate, oh well, better than nothing. Still easy to see the B8 S4 pulled.

        We just traded our 4.8iS in for a 13' Q5 Sline with the 3.0 supercharged motor. Can't wait to have a sleeper mobile

        Didn't know the Q5 already had the motor available. Sweet! I would want one of those as well.

        Yeah it looks like they are going to position it below the A8 3.0T horsepower wise, at 272 but if I am not mistaken it'll share the same everything as the S4 which has gone over 300awhp completely stock with many owners.
        Needless to say we have talked to the service department about "under warranty remapping" already Click here to enlarge. Gen 1 and facelift Cayenne T's -we will see. Looks like it'll weigh in around 4300 + the 8 speed

        I'm actually considering moving over the the B8 S4 platform from my C63. Intrigued by the performance capabilities, especially with the AWD factored into the equation.

        Your 63 has more potential IMO.

        It's the faster car, hands down...in fact, I've been flooring it every opportunity I get to convince myself not to trade it in because there is nothing Audi makes short of the R8 5.2 that can keep up with me...but I'm really interested in moving to an AWD platform for my next car. My problem will be solved once AMG brings 4matic to the full AMG range. If that happens, a bi-turbo, white on red C63 AMG 4matic will be my next car :-)

        You will have 4Matic in the next C. I was just about to put an article up about this.
