• USP Motorsports built 1.8T MKIV Jetta GLI runs a 10.6@139 mph 1/4 mile - Quickest and fastest MKIV Jetta

Congratulations to USP Motorsports on yet another record. These guys are raising the bar all over the place in the Volkswagen and Audi high performance scene. This MKIV Jetta GLI previously ran a 10.89 in the 1/4 mile and on its latest trip to the strip managed to improve this elapsed time to 10.63@139 miles per hour. Very impressive for a 1.8 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine and making this the quickest and fastest MKIV Jetta.

Modifications include a Precision 6057 billet turbocharger and a built motor. The car previously dyno'd 533 wheel horsepower with a smaller turbo so it is anyone's guess what it is putting out now. Likely over 600 wheel horsepower but the dyno figures were not stated. Regardless, no denying this is one incredibly impressive Jetta and 1.8T.

That's a $#@! load of power for a 1.8liter 4 cylinder car. It's amazing what can be done when you have knowledge and money.

no problem. they never posted an actual graph anywhere online. the only reason i know is because i was there friday night before fixxfest when they were on the dyno tweaking some small things.

I could not imagine my wife's car with this power output. Quattro and all. Very impressive.

I wish I was putting a 1.8t in my Jetta. They are much easier to get to rev. Swap the valve springs and your are good for 9k. Some people even doing it with a stock valve train. The lugtronics Mkiii is running 9.2@153 with there 1.8t. Bad ass little motors that are always underestimated.

WTF? 9.2@153? What's done to it?

What motor are you doing again?

The 1.8t is an awesome motor. Definitely one of the best VW has come out with. The USP one revs all the way out to 9k, and sounds like a jet plane!

Lugtronics is on a whole other level! Crazy power and speed!
