      Here is a nice set of renderings of the upcoming Audi RS7 that has been testing for some time now. It is likely the RS7 as well as the new RS6 will share the same specs. That means a hotter version of the 4.0 TFSI from the Audi S8 which is already putting out 528 horsepower and powering the Audi S8 to some very impressive acceleration times. How much hotter? Likely similar to the version found in the Bentley Continental GT which puts out 567 horses.

      In addition to the tuned 4.0 TFSI expect a dual clutch transmission. So somewhere around 570 horsepower, a dual clutch, and all wheel drive. This should make the car even more formidable than the S8 which is running the 1/4 mile stock in 11.8@118. Are we looking at a car capable of mid to low 11's stock? Certainly seems reasonable.

        Awesome, my father in law has a black a7 and it's a great car. This one looks stunning.

        This looks pretty good although I like the A6 design more than the A7. Regardless, I think this thing has the potential to beat the M5.

        And with the E63 supposedly getting all wheel drive and a dual clutch, the M5 may be the third or fourth best in its the class after the Panamera Turbo as well.

        I agree, the a6 is real nice looking. The standard a 7 feels quick for such a heavy car....I bet your right, the m5 will get a run for it's money.

        Considering the heavier S8 with its automatic is hot on the M5's heels I'd say the RS6 has a chance to really take this segment.

        I'm keeping a eye on the rs3 and rs4, I have a feeling they will make a good run at the m3 and m2, Audi is coming on strong

        We're a ways away from the RS4 being a top dog again but at this pace sure looks like. They need to ditch the V8 first. We probably won't see anything on par with the new M3 from them until the B9.
