      Congratulations to M3ntal for some very impressive results from his stock internal Porsche 996 Twin Turbo. Modifications consist of forge intercoolers, IPD Competition Plenum, custom E85 fuel system, FIC 1100cc injectors, Tial 44mm external wastegates, tial 50mm blow off valve, Hallman Pro boost controller, Sachs 764 PP clutch, and FP HTA 3071 .63 AR turbos. This combination was tuned by Roshan Patel (mafless tune).

      The result? A very impressive 717 wheel horsepower in STD correction on a dynojet on the stock internals. The turbos are good for more power but the tuner (wisely) stated not to push it any further on the stock internals.

        Haha nothing really changed...I put in a clutch, new plugs, and added a little more boost!

        Edit: Wait, is this the same 996 in LM's vid a few weeks back ? That race was pretty brutal with your slipping clutch, would be fun to see the spread now.

        The RMS issue affected standard 996's more but it still happens on the 996tt, just not as often. Getting up there for the stock motor regarding longevity but if you don't always run it at that boost that will help.

        Ive never read one RMS issue since my ownership. Took my flywheel off and dry as a bone at 40k miles.

        As far as power that's as far as I feel comfortable taking it. That's also with unaggressive timing in it. It's all in the tune and fuel system (which 95 percent of the turbo owners skimp on).

        Ha well that makes alot more sense. I thought you were from the U.K. or something. Nice history of E36's !

        And man that's some serious power ! 400+ @ 3.4k then the crazy jump to 600 @ 4.2k ! What a rush !

        Congrats on getting the car back to 100%. Definitely a beast. Sounds great, can't wait for more vids !
