      The current Audi RS3 uses a 2.5 TFSI turbo inline-5 cylinder motor with 340 horsepower which also is used in the TT-RS. A very capable motor capable of over 500 wheel horsepower in tuned form. The new Audi S3 puts out 300 horsepower from 2.0 TFSI motor so one would expect the new Audi RS3 to raise the bar considerably over the previous generation car.

      Chief of the Quattro Division Stephan Reil said to expect the car in early 2014 and also said, 'Let's just say you will be seeing more of the five-cylinder engine.' This is music to Audi enthusiasts ears and especially AudiBoost who has wanted to see this motor in more models.

        New audi rs3 sedan is definitely on my radar as a replacement for my 335....I'm very anxious to see the finished product.
