      For 997 Carrera and Carrera S owners who want more power without trading their car in for a Turbo the only real answer to get a big boost is forced induction. VF-Engineering has had 997 supercharger kits out for a while now and here is a nice dyno overlay of a stock 997 Carrera and a VF-Engineering VF475 supercharged 997 Carrera.

      In stock form the car puts down a respectable 321 rear wheel horsepower. Supercharged with Vortech centrifugal unit, this goes to 441 at the wheels with full exhaust and headers. A 997.1 Turbo running on a dynojet only to the rear wheels puts down about 457 rear wheel horsepower stock. So, the supercharger on a base 997 Carrera 3.6 liter flat-6 just about brings the car to 911 Turbo power levels. Keep in mind the 997 Turbo wheel horsepower will drop when delivering power to all four wheels versus just the rears on the dyno.

      Very nice results and a nice power gain.

        Yes but then you look at it as 997.1 turbo with a tune and exhaust and bye bye supercharged 997.

        I'd love to SC a GT3 that would be one silly fast ride IMO... Great kit I love the quality of the VF products.

        Unfortunately, no.

        That motor would scream with some boost though. If I had a GT3 I'd see what I could do about getting a supercharger on it.

        I found an awesome video comparing the same model 911 with their higher output kit against a widebody M3 (blown). I'll dig it up when I get home from work.

        I would have a hard time choosing (unless they left the ridiculous wrap on the M3), that's for sure.
