• Renntech updated BMW Diesel tune for E90 335d and E70 X5 xDrive3d M57 turbo six-cylinder + 57 wheel horsepower dyno

      Renntech released their Diesel software for the E90 BMW 335d as well as the E70 X5 xDrive35d both equipped with the turbo M57 diesel six-cylinder motor. Renntech provided BimmerBoost with their dyno runs and the highest baseline was chosen to display on the graph along with the peak tuned figures in SAE correction. Renntech claims gains of up to 65 crank horsepower and 54 crank pound-feet of torque.

      The dynojet results gains of 57 wheel horsepower and 33 pound-feet of torque from the higher baseline backing up Renntech's claims. The software retails for $1200. Very nice done Renntech.

        What a wonderfully flat calibration, so many tuners choose the puke and die powerband to entice customers with peak gains. This is such a better method of tuning though!

        These guys are no joke, they know what they are doing. One of my buddies told me they made only 14whp less with their tune only, than with Procede, DP's and meth.

        Renntech tunes pretty damn well and on a variety of platforms. Their BMW offerings continue to expand and are pretty impressive.

        I wonder how this would compare with some of the other competitors tunes.

        Mines clocked 70 whp with OLD tune, I beleive it has more since Lenny reconfigured it the last time I went to them, Yes RENNtech does not mess around, having Lenny aboard whom happens to have a 335i, you figure it out!! Anyway, like before I have used RENNtech since 2003 or 2004 on my 02 MCS and now my 2011 335d, there are other good tuners but I will stick with them, thier product has been bulletproof for 9 years with me, Click here to enlarge

        How's the hit for fuel economy? We're currently averaging 25mpg between city/hwy.

        hifiguy if youre a racer like me you will loose some MPGs currently Im getting anywhere from 22-23 mpg city and HOLD ON to this anywhere from 40-46 mpg hwy yes amigo you read that right BUT mind you i have the WAGNER IC which helps improve more cooler air to the turbos but if i did not have the WAGNER IC it would of been anywhere from 36-40 mpg hwy but same in the city as above give or take

        I tell ya the IC does actually improve your mileage and to be honest I havent lost mpgs either city or hwy, hwy has increased and city has stayed the same 20-23 depending on my LEAD foot!! once u do it you WONT go back to stock, now its your turn to convince the misises, I hv a fello "D" form another post going in for the kill also, this time we're looking at the DPF removal Lenny has come up with so STAND By, STICKY knows whats going on, until Lenny or Hartmut from RENNtech give me the ok DONT ask many questions, this is in the works!!!

        this weekend alone I did over 306 on little bit over half tank and my avergae speed was 80 mph i send you the pic and post it for me ok

        that's awesome, how big is your fuel tank?

        the stock limit on the X5's 22.5 gallon tank at 26mpg is 585 miles, though in LA we get around 450 per tank full. :\

        I am strongly considering he move to RennTech from the JBD. These curves just make me want to even more. I wonder how they would look with water/meth injection...
