Very nice! What all does the APR Stage 3 turbo upgrade package include?

Don't quote me on this but a turbo upgrade, ecu tune, manifold, and associated hardware. I think bigger injectors as well.

quite a bit.
The stage 3 for this particular engine includes:
-OTS Tune
-GT2871R turbo
-new manifold
-injectors
-MAF housing
-HPFP
-Intercooler
-Downpipe
-Piping/lines/sparkplugs
all for $6,867.00, or $6,260.40 while APR has their seasonal sales
Plus the cost of a "recommended" engine build, especially if you want to run 100oct.

Also, just to clarify the MK6 Golf R uses the older FSI engine, while the MK6 GTI uses the TSI engine, which is a stronger engine, however the FSI has fueling solutions such as the HPFP that the TSI currently doesn't.

for the time being, yes. Aside from the front page post of the black GTI that made 501whp, and Patrick_GLI who recently made 470 or 475whp on 100octane, no one else is really coming close to those numbers, mainly due to fueling.

While some FSI engines are making over 550, if not more (unfortunately my '12 is my first VW so i'm a little unfamiliar with power numbers of the FSI engine, but I've seen some 550-560 cars.)

I agree the FSI and TSI is confusing, overall the TSI is the better engine with a lot less problems, but right now the fueling limits are an issue...unless you're one of the 2 people who have tuners coming up with "solutions" to make much more WHP then everyone else.

Where can I get an engine list so I can have everything set up and placed neatly? I just want to know what models and years the FSI was used, then the TSI, etc. Is the new 2.0T motor coming going to be called TFSI?

The 2006-2008 mk5 GTI had the 2.0 FSI engines
Then the 2008.5 and on MKV and of course the MK6 all had the 2.0 TSI engine.

Now this is where it gets confusing. Audi refers to their new 2.0T as a TFSI engine (found in the B8 models of the A4 and A5) from what I recall the TFSI and TSI are fairly similar, with the Audi TFSI engine having "valve lift" and coming stock from the factory making more rated hp and tq.

The new Mk7 GTI will have the Audi TFSI that would be coming out of the S3.

unfortunately outside of wiki I can't really find a good list of engines. Here is a good post on the audiboost forum that has a section on TSI vs. FSI and how the TSI is the better engine.

There isn't a fueling solution that's been oficially released, but I've got a solution. Upgraded almost the entire fuel system in my car now. Turbo is maxxed out. Next step is taking it to the track, having some fun, breaking some records, and then going bigger turbo. 600whp is easily achievable now, for sure.

that's why I said "one of the 2 people" I think just you and Skully are the only ones who have it figured out on their cars.

lol, oh okay. got ya! hmm, i think so..i'm not even sure what Dave is running for fuel system, but i'm pretty darn curious.
