Here is a new report from
Autobild which states the new 991 Turbo model will feature four wheel steering to improving handling performance. This should be treated as a rumor as it has not been confirmed by Porsche yet but is a very interesting development. Four wheel steering systems are often used on large vehicles at low speeds to help turn in but some vehicles such as the Mitsubishi 3000GT used the system at high speeds to assist with handling.
There are modern cars which feature the all wheel steering system at high and low speeds such as the F10 5 Series with the Integral Active Steering option. It will be very interesting to see how much the new 911 Turbo's handling improves as a result of all wheel steering.
