      The last update posted by BenzBoost on the SLS AMG Black Series came on July 13th where spyphotos revealed the car close to production ready with ceramic brakes. Our graphic design artist Wild-Speed worked with the spyphotos to create a rendering on what the finished product will likely look like. Considering how accurate Wild-Speed is, these renderings are likely very similar to the real deal.

      The car will of course have a dual clutch transmission and likely the same M159 V8 but tweaked even further to over 600 horsepower. Pricing is expected to be in the $300,000+ range so this is not a toy for everyone. Performance should exceed even the McLaren SLR.

      The renderings are below in various colors with and without a wing. Enjoy!

        There are renderings without it. Sometimes functional looks boy-racer though look at the C63 Black Series aero package.

        You can have both function and style together, Look at Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. No wings. Hopefully this Benz won't have the wing. The battle between Benz and Ferrari for the most powerful NA V8 should be interesting btw. 458 Monte Carlo is said to have 620 HP.

        If the wing works who cares? It's to get performance on the track not, that's not boy-racer as it's functional on a $300k+ car.

        If the owners would have taken the cars to the track and pushed them so hard to the limits that they needed a wing to add more down force, your state could be true. But the fact is more than %90 of the owners will not experience such situation. It sucks when you see something with a functional wing that has never seen track and only is driven from home to parties and back. But it doesn't suck as much if you see the same car doing the same thing with the same track abilities too but doesn't scream i'm a track car.

        Whether owners track it or not is irrelevant to the fact of it being functional. If the wing helps that is why Mercedes included it, not to look cool or pose.

        It's up to the person who buys the car to choose how they want to use it. Fact is if they ever do choose to that wing will keep that rear end more planted.

        And an SLS AMG Black Series should scream "I will $#@! you up" and do so loudly.

        I would assume Mercedes would provide an aero package option for buyers just like they did on the C63 Black Series making it a completely irrelevant point.

        I think the SLS BS wing rendering looks great. BS are meant for the track so why not go all out and get every piece of track equipment they offer. Who cares if owners ever take it to the track. I guarantee a wing on the freeway will make the car much more planted doing 80-100mph. I just can't believe of all the C BS that came to the states so many didn't have the full aero pkg. That was one thing I liked about the CLK BS - no options at all.

        looks just that one step more aggressive than the regular SLS, should be spot on as wild speed has been before!

        I love how it looks, especially with the wider fenders. I hope hp would match its appearance.

        it's most definately the design . i know i'm going to be hated for this but , to me , it's got the oversized Miata look ( 2 seater with long front end and stubby rear section ) . the performance is outstanding but i just can't get past the look . i think if they replaced the trunk with a hatch , it would enhance the look dramatically.....just my $.02 Click here to enlarge
