      Magazine numbers from both of these cars put them at similar acceleration levels. In the 1/4 mile the Porsche Turbo's all wheel drive favors it slightly but from a roll on the rear wheel drive of the Ferrari should have the advantage. The 458 is about 200 pounds lighter depending on options. On paper the 458 has more horsepower but the Turbo has more torque under the curve. Both have quick shifting dual clutch transmissions.

        Looked like maybe the 458 got a bit of a jump but damn that was neck and neck the entire run and neither car was pulling away.

        Not sure if you guys have ever used this thing before, I think it's awesome. It all depends on the accuracy of the data that is entered for user defined cars - but when the data is accurately entered, it's nearly bang on accurate. *not a replacement for real world - but a good way to check the BS meter*

        @.34 miles - the 458 is exactly 3 car lenghts ahead when I started the race from 15 MPH (I think that's what I started it from at least)

        To show how close this thing is:
        - the current gen M3 1/4 mile came in at 12.46 @ 115.63
        - the 911 (991) Carrera S w/PDK came in at 11.99 @ 119.67

        They have some user cars in there, like supercharged M3s (forget the kits) - but the coolest part is you can enter your own car's data. Almost everything is accounted for, from weight to weather to shift time to launch RPM to grade to ... you get the point.

        Good run I guess I just dont see the 458 as a threat on the highway... Then again I've spanked so many 430's, 360's and 355's that I am biased I suppose. I'd like to run one once the Vette is done

        How is a car trapping close to 130 not a highway threat?

        Why is that video so damn quiet?? Either they have really good sound dampening or that guy's mic sucks.
