      Those in the BMW M3 S65 V8 tuning community know that supercharged S65 V8 stroker motors have been tried before and the latest experiement ended in colossal failure. G-Power seems to have the first successfully tuned and running supercharged stroker S65 V8. They take the displacement up from 4.0 liters to 4.6 liters courtesy of increased stroke from a custom crank and add their SKII supercharger kit to boost output to 720 horsepower.

      Now, G-power did not provide any photos the motor build. They also did not show the crank or the bore x stroke specs. We also get no dynograph to prove the output is what it is. It does not help the plaque inside the car says "4.0 Kompressor." We are essentially taking their word for it and we hate how big name European tuners just expect us to believe what they say because of their name. We do not doubt they did this but some supporting material would be appreciated especially for those who would like to purchase this same setup.

      The output of 720 horses is definitely believable but does not surpass what stock internal M3's have put down. We expect more but no doubt there is a lot more under the curve here. The exhaust system is full titanium lowering weight by 50 pounds.

      We will contact G-Power who hopefully will give us more details about this awesome build.

        3 months ago, when i was the last time on the roll with my car, i talked a little bit with the guy there and he has shown me some g-power dyno results.
        He told me that the owner of an M3 SK II CLUBSPORT (quoted on their site with aroud 600 crank HP) wanted to know if the car really performs or not. The owner expected something like 640 crank hp.
        Well, finally (and what caused real disappointment) was a dyno result of not more than around 520 crank HP...
        The owner was very upset and they had to repeat the test several times but the result was just almost the same every time.

        PSI (Precision Sport Industries) prob has a ton of G-Power dynos, they're one of the authorized US vendors/installers

        It's the same car that set the fastest speed record with SKII 570HP kit. Maybe they didn't bother to change the plaque. I'm wondering if it's Chris' personal car.

        in my opinion quiet impossible.
        The guy there is not the owner of the company, it would cause him trouble giving out customers data(maybe loosing his job), and his boss would possibly even get problems with g-power. I will ask him the next time, but i really doubt he will take this risk.

        I doubt we will ever see a dyno for this. It's hard enough just getting standard G-Power dynos.

        The one thing that I always appreciated about the GPower kits are their consistency and strong mid-range power. To me, that equates to one hell of a fun car to drive even if it's not the "fastest." Compliment this with a 4.6L and wow, things just got a million times better.

        I hope G Power releases more data soon!

        According to that power level the boost is mild. I would think this should be very reliable.

        G-Power's gotta meet those TUV Standards, so it won't be "iffy" from a reliability standpoint. Not like here in the US where the good ol' boys can strap a KB blower onto anything

        Longer stroke doesn't add stress to the block?

        Increases the piston speed but this isn't a setup pushed to the max.

        On a built motor low compression stroker setup I would expect 800+.
