The model would likely be slotted in between the TT-RS and R8. That means a price tag somewhere in the $80k region. Not cheap, but not terrible for a projected 3000 pound car with all wheel drive and 380 horsepower from an inline-5 cylinder turbo.
We want it to happen and think this would be a great enthusiast vehicle. Is it necessary to slot something in between the TT-RS and R8? No, but if Audi does this to honor Quattro's 35th anniversary we applaud them. It would also mean they would have yet another sports car in the lineup that BMW has no answer for. We applaud that as well.
