Hennessey releases HPE700 upgrade package for M157 Twin Turbo 63 AMG vehicles - Tuned W212 E63 AMG puts down 549 WHP

Hennessey released their HPE700 upgrade package for the 63 AMG M157 Twin Turbo motors. They installed the package on a W212 E63 AMG and it put down a respectable 549 wheel horsepower on a dynojet in SAE correction (torque numbers were not included for some reason). The package consists of an ECU dyno tune and intake modification which we figure is simply an air filter change.

These are respectable figures on 93 octane but Hennessey has never been known as a premier Mercedes tuner. Pricing also is not listed for this package. It is great to see more options for these motors but we advise members to stick with our Mercedes vendors (who have also hit much higher figures) for the M157 motors until we see more details and results from actual users with the Hennessey products.

We are glad to see Hennessey include a dyno and video as support however.

Talk about serious area under the curve! These M157s are monsters.

am i the only one afraid to ever deal with that company? i'm merely basing this on stories i've heard and stuff i've read online... have things changed?

You are not the only one who would be apprehensive. I think there are much better M157 alternatives.

I don't know if things have changed but I sure do hope so.
