BMW M (Motorsport) Division built M73 V12 swap powered E36/7 Z3 roadster - 326 horsepower and 363 pound feet of torque

Seemingly out of nowhere BMW posted an E36/7 generation Z3 which is sporting a M70 family V12 under the hood. We do not know the exact specs on this V12 but it clearly appears it is from the M70 series which means a 5.0, 5.4, or 5.6 liter V12. This likely is the M73B54 used in the 7 and 8 series models from the 90's so 326 horsepower and 363 pound-feet of torque. The swap is factory clean as it should be with BMW doing it themselves.
To see a V12 fit so well under the hood of the Z3 is incredible. Space is obviously tight but the engine is fit in very, very cleanly. We wish something like this made production but cool to see BMW thought about the idea and built it as a prototype. We are glad BMW finally showed us they had this.
